Better late than never.
I programmed my first videogame some 30 years ago using Basic on a Spectrum +3, at the age of 12. It was a simple conversational adventure, with no graphics.
After that I tried to improve, as I felt it was my passion. I learnt C, C++, Java and Javascript, and started some projects using an old 486. But I was not completing any new games.
Then I studied some computer science, hoping to get a job as a game developer one day. Instead, I got a job in a small company that hired young people to work with a java-based low-code framework, developing corporate software. And I was not starting any new games.
And then, at age 26, I got promoted to a management position... And I never wrote a single line of code again.
Until now.
I discovered Godot quite recently. I'm learning, and I'm remembering my long-forgotten passion.
And I feel like I'm 12 again...
